I'm a little late posting my backlog from 2012, but here it is! Other than a couple of battles and stuff like that, these are all the icons that I have saved up.

Dude, your lighting and close cropping skills are MAGICAL! The colors in that very first icon are just dreamy. I love the purple, blue, and red in the background, and there's a lovely shine to the whole piece! The text in the 6th and 11th icons is stunning, and I really love the lighting in that 11th one as well. I don't watch any anime or read manga (I can barely keep up with the few shows I already watch), but you could almost convince me to with your gorgeous work!

Well, I don't really know how you expect me to comment when I am too busy being blown away by most of these. I mean, geez, I can multitask, but not when my brain is too busy short circuiting from awesome.

I mean...#6 and #7 are just. They are literally so awesome that I don't know what to do with myself. Like I was saying yesterday, I need your text skills stat because they are so inspiring and perfect, and #6 is a perfect example of why. I love the combination of fonts and colors, and I like how the fact that some of the text is hidden by the subject doesn't really take away from it. I also love how there isn't any conflict between text and subject. They are both there, they are both dynamic, but they work together, you know? And then #7 is just perfection. I love the flames, and her hair is so amazing. Which...how difficult was that to cut out? It looks like ti would have been difficult.

Also perfect? #10 for many of the same reasons as #7.

Reading the comments, I now know that you colored the whole last row from scratch yourself, and that's kind of mind blowing. They are so, so, so well done. Just...mad props for that.

I'm so glad that you like the text in 6, since I was going for something a bit different. 7 actually wasn't too hard to cut out, because I resized the original scan to about 500px where it was still large enough for me to really get the details before I quick masked it out of the background. It just required a tiny bit more erasing once it was resized for the icon.

I'm glad that you like 10 too! I had to remake that icon a couple of times because I couldn't come up with a nice background for it that worked with the lightning, so eventually I settled on sky.

It's lovely to know that you like the manga colouring icons, since I've really been starting to practice more with those lately. :) Luckily doing them at the size of the original scan means that I can then crop out any mistakes in the final icons, like with the last one where I completely messed up when rebuilding the bottom of her hair. Hidden forever!
