First of all, I'm so glad to see 20inspirations back! I've only managed to participate once before and kinda regretted not finishing my sets more often. This round's challenge was Adventures in Wonderland, and soon after starting my set I realised that I reallllyyyyy shoulda picked Kyousougiga or something instead because that would be perfect. Still, I claimed Fate/Zero S1, and I'm fairly happy with how they turned out?? I tried to push myself to do some stuff that I don't normally do and it was just really fun tbh.

Lovely post! Loving the coloring and textures in the second icon! The ligh/textures/shadows in 6 is so great. 9 OMG love the white hand against the dark colored face, so amazing!!!!! The blocking in 10 is awesome. 1The colors in 11<3 12 is so interesting with the blending and the light in the background. 16, could look at this for hours, it’s super interesting and the coloring is so pretty.

I love the texture use in 4 and 5, the lighting in 6, 9, and 18, and I absolutely adore 12! Lovely colors in all!

Omg I looove #2, the red is amazing and the little dots around him is so graphical and aesthetic, I love it! #3 is all delicate and fitting. The light in #6 is amazing, we recognize instantly the character, I'm blown away by how pretty it is! #9 is also a great surprise, his hand looks like rock or marble, it adds a nice symbolism to it. The light in #11 is so perfect wow!

omg thank you so much!! ngl I saw the glowy background texture I used in 6 and immediately thought WAIT A MINUTE THERE IS A SCREENCAP OF GILGAMESH THAT WILL WORK PERFECTLY WITH THIS. So glad you like them!

These are really neat! I really REALLY love #2, the composition and use of the circle looks amazing and the texture use is PERFECT. #3 is incredibly pretty, the colours are so nice! I love the lighting in #7 and the colours in #9! #11 is my favourite in the whole post, the colours are AMAZING! And #12 has fantastic composition and subtle textures! I also really like #13, red can be a hard colour to work with but you've completely nailed it! #17 is also really creative and I love the crop! What a great post, nicely done! :D

I saw the screencap and just had to icon it because I knew how good the colours would turn out, but also kinda wondered if it would fit the theme? but then I decided yk what, I wanna use this cap so bad and the characters are kind of obscured anyway and just kinda went for it.

THESE ARE GORGEOUS!! ♥ ♥ I can't deal with these at all. The coloring, the textures, the compositions, ughhh everything's beautiful! Idek where to begin so imma try to keep this brief so I don't word vomit. #20 is absolutely beautiful. ♥ I love the combination of the vibrant colors, silhouette and geometric shapes. It is everything I could ever love in an icon and I am sincerely in love with it. ♥ The composition on #5's wonderful! It's so cool and original, I looooovvvveee what you did with it. THE COLORING ON #9!! ♥ HOW??? F/Z CAPS ARE A HUGE PAIN TO WORK WITH AND THEY HAVE THAT LIGHTING GOING ON AND HOOOOOOOOWWW DID YOU DO THIS COLORING???? It's so perfect and fuck I love the fact that you added the hand like that. The blending on #12 is so cool, I can not at how beautiful the coloring is too. I'm so sorry for this word vomit, I'm awful at saying what I want to say. :c All I know is that you made these gorgeous icons and that I want to give you an award for working with F/Z caps. F/Z caps (weeelllll any ufotable series for that matter) are a HUGE pain the ass to work with so awesome job. ♥ ♥ ALSO I FORGOT TO SAY I LOVE #3 AND IT'S FUCKING GORGEOUS. ♥

lmao the colouring on 9 though. i saw a cap of him that actually had the makings of some colour in it that WASN'T blue and i was like 'let's get some of midnight road's textures on here STAT to vibrant this shit up we are LOSING HIM'

FOR SOME REASON I DID NOT EXPECT FATE/ZERO CAPS TO CAUSE ME THAT MANY ISSUES WHEN TRYING TO MAKE STUFF THAT WASN'T BLUE AND DARK. half way through i was thinking 'oh god why. why didn't i pick kyousougiga that has colours and isn't shot in eternally darkened rooms for added ~mystery~' but I had to do this tbh. At least this show has interesting lighting, that was my saviour.

IT TOOK ME AWHILE TO GET HERE, BUT I GOT HERE IN THE END!! THESE ARE SO FABULOUS, AND YOUR BLENDING SKILLS ARE PERFECT. AND YOUR COLORING AND TEXTURE WORK ARE PERFECT. AND YOU ARE THE WORST; WHY ARE THESE SO PRETTY?????

*takes a deep breath*

Okay. So these are really great! As I said, your blending is beyond excellent! #1 and #12 are just gorgeous! There is this delicate thing that all your icons have (in terms of textures usually but...) that is sort of amplified in your blending I think. Like...the lines are so precise and clean and clear and they merge perfectly. So that is really awesome. And then you've done really wondrous things with decorative textures in this set as well. I really love #9 for instance! The coloring, first of all, is absolutely magical! I love the softness and the lack of contrast here. And the colors balance each other out perfect. And then there's that hand which I am assuming is a texture??? And it is placed so perfectly that I want to cry! It is beautiful! And there's also #8 which is definitely fantastic! I love the split screen here; you've used it really well even though it is the same cap. And the bug (bee, maybe?) really unites the whole thing, and the icon goes from simple and beautiful to OH MY GOSH THIS IS SUPER RAD in like the shortest amount of time possible. And then #14 is just so unbelievably gorgeous! SERIOUSLY. The stained glass window in the back + the wings + the gorgeous white and gold coloring? Absolutely radiant.

And your blues in this set are incredible as well! #18 is so, so lovely! I don't know if it is actually snowing in the cap or if that's just another instance of your brilliant eye for textures, but either way, the lighting just amplifies that aspect perfectly. And I've already spoken about #12 but I love the blues there especially with the little bit of purple up at the top. And #11 is just really fantastic! The negative space + the violence explosion/sparks down at the bottom play really well off of each other! And then #10! #10 is ridiculous! I love the split screen again; lovely cropping that really makes this the perfect composition. AND!! AND!! THE BORDER AT THE TOP!! I love borders, and this one is perfectly placed. And I do really love #5; the silhouette amongst the trees is just super great work, imo.

And then, to finish up, I also love #2, #6, and #13 for coloring and texture reasons. Great job, lovely! <3

I'M SO GLAD THAT YOU LIKE THE BLENDING BC I FEEL LIKE I'VE NEVER DONE IT THIS WAY BEFORE??? i mean i've cut out two subjects and put them together like in 1 or 15 before, but never tried to overlay separate caps on top of each other like in 4 and 12 because it always used to go horribly BUT Fate/Zero is usually dark enough that it actually works??? i was so pleased omg.

I'm really glad you like 9!! after I first made it all I could really see were problems, like maybe it was a bit overcoloured, or the dude kinda got lost in the colouring due to there not being so much contrast, or the creepy hand texture, so it's awesome to know that you think it worked! 8 also caused me a bit of trouble, initially it was just that dude (not split in half, he was centered on the canvas) and I planned to have the bug texture centered over him but as soon as I put the bug texture on you could not see him AT ALL and not in a creative way either so I had to like. do something.

AND I'M REALLY GLAD YOU LIKE THE BLUES because omg, Fate/Zero is such a BLUE show if anything important ever happens in that show you can bet that it will happen somewhere dark and blue and you have to just go with it when colouring tbh. 18 was actually one of the few ones here where the original wasn't THAT blue??? the snowy effect is also texture work, she's actually just chilling inside a church but I was desperate to finish by that point so I started to just texture slap it. (lbr a lot of these are just texture slaps bc i was like i don't know.... what to do???)

Oh wow, so much gorgeous creativity in this post!! All of these are so out of the box and I love all the composition and texture magic in these.

Some of my favorites:
2 is ingenious, I love how the spiral texture fits the motion in the cap and the other textures are fantastic together too, love the background circle and the light paintiness too. 5 is super fascinating, love theblues and the tree textures. The light/dark split in 7 is fantastic, and omg the composition in 8 is so cool, love how the fly decoration ties the blocks together and the muted browns are gorgeous. So much love for the intense multicolor vibrancy in 9, and the hand texture(?) is an awesome imaginative detail and perfectly placed. Looove the blocking, cropping and the bright cyans in 10 and the sense of explosion in 11. The unusual color combination and the muted contrast in 16 look stunning and I absolutely adore the text, the arrangement and placement and font choices are spot on! 19 is so cool with the way the characters lurk in the darkness, excellent grunge icon, and I ADORE 20, it's seriously fantastic, I love textured silhouettes in general but this is seriously stellar because the geometric pattern is awesome and the star thing in the middle breaks the silhouette up and the effect is so creative and original.

I'm REALLY GLAD you like 5 because I know it's not for everyone but when I made it I really really liked it! Icons like 5 are why I think it would be awesome to include original caps in icon posts tbh. I kinda wanna do that in my next set.

The original cap for 7 was SO GORG with that light/dark split that I IMMEDIATELY had the idea to try and enhance it. like you know when a cap just has such great/interesting lighting and you need to use it??? yeah.

ALSO SUPER GLAD YOU LIKE 20 BC FOR SOMETHING THAT I THREW TOGETHER IN LIKE 5 MINS SO I COULD POST I WAS REALLY HAPPY WITH IT???? I have a weakness for silhouette style icons but with something IN the silhouette, you know?
