First of all, I'm so glad to see 20inspirations back! I've only managed to participate once before and kinda regretted not finishing my sets more often. This round's challenge was Adventures in Wonderland, and soon after starting my set I realised that I reallllyyyyy shoulda picked Kyousougiga or something instead because that would be perfect. Still, I claimed Fate/Zero S1, and I'm fairly happy with how they turned out?? I tried to push myself to do some stuff that I don't normally do and it was just really fun tbh.

IT TOOK ME AWHILE TO GET HERE, BUT I GOT HERE IN THE END!! THESE ARE SO FABULOUS, AND YOUR BLENDING SKILLS ARE PERFECT. AND YOUR COLORING AND TEXTURE WORK ARE PERFECT. AND YOU ARE THE WORST; WHY ARE THESE SO PRETTY?????

Okay. So these are really great! As I said, your blending is beyond excellent! #1 and #12 are just gorgeous! There is this delicate thing that all your icons have (in terms of textures usually but...) that is sort of amplified in your blending I think. Like...the lines are so precise and clean and clear and they merge perfectly. So that is really awesome. And then you've done really wondrous things with decorative textures in this set as well. I really love #9 for instance! The coloring, first of all, is absolutely magical! I love the softness and the lack of contrast here. And the colors balance each other out perfect. And then there's that hand which I am assuming is a texture??? And it is placed so perfectly that I want to cry! It is beautiful! And there's also #8 which is definitely fantastic! I love the split screen here; you've used it really well even though it is the same cap. And the bug (bee, maybe?) really unites the whole thing, and the icon goes from simple and beautiful to OH MY GOSH THIS IS SUPER RAD in like the shortest amount of time possible. And then #14 is just so unbelievably gorgeous! SERIOUSLY. The stained glass window in the back + the wings + the gorgeous white and gold coloring? Absolutely radiant.

And your blues in this set are incredible as well! #18 is so, so lovely! I don't know if it is actually snowing in the cap or if that's just another instance of your brilliant eye for textures, but either way, the lighting just amplifies that aspect perfectly. And I've already spoken about #12 but I love the blues there especially with the little bit of purple up at the top. And #11 is just really fantastic! The negative space + the violence explosion/sparks down at the bottom play really well off of each other! And then #10! #10 is ridiculous! I love the split screen again; lovely cropping that really makes this the perfect composition. AND!! AND!! THE BORDER AT THE TOP!! I love borders, and this one is perfectly placed. And I do really love #5; the silhouette amongst the trees is just super great work, imo.

And then, to finish up, I also love #2, #6, and #13 for coloring and texture reasons. Great job, lovely! <3

OMGOMGOMG THANK YOU SO MUCH??? lmao i had to wait until the weekend to formulate a proper response bc i can't just be like "wow thanks!" to such a lovely comment. ♥

I'M SO GLAD THAT YOU LIKE THE BLENDING BC I FEEL LIKE I'VE NEVER DONE IT THIS WAY BEFORE??? i mean i've cut out two subjects and put them together like in 1 or 15 before, but never tried to overlay separate caps on top of each other like in 4 and 12 because it always used to go horribly BUT Fate/Zero is usually dark enough that it actually works??? i was so pleased omg.

I'm really glad you like 9!! after I first made it all I could really see were problems, like maybe it was a bit overcoloured, or the dude kinda got lost in the colouring due to there not being so much contrast, or the creepy hand texture, so it's awesome to know that you think it worked! 8 also caused me a bit of trouble, initially it was just that dude (not split in half, he was centered on the canvas) and I planned to have the bug texture centered over him but as soon as I put the bug texture on you could not see him AT ALL and not in a creative way either so I had to like. do something.

AND I'M REALLY GLAD YOU LIKE THE BLUES because omg, Fate/Zero is such a BLUE show if anything important ever happens in that show you can bet that it will happen somewhere dark and blue and you have to just go with it when colouring tbh. 18 was actually one of the few ones here where the original wasn't THAT blue??? the snowy effect is also texture work, she's actually just chilling inside a church but I was desperate to finish by that point so I started to just texture slap it. (lbr a lot of these are just texture slaps bc i was like i don't know.... what to do???)
